Today BicesterTAG's co-chairs Sallie and Richard met with Cllr Barry Wood, leader of Cherwell District Council and representatives of EcoBicester at Bodicote House, Banbury.
The purpose of the meeting was to introduce ourselves to Barry and brief him on our groups concerns and aims. Barry was keen to brief us on Cherwell's reponse to Oxfordshire County
Council's LTP4 (Local Transport Plan).
Also present at the meeting were representatives of EcoBicester. We were able to raise with them our concerns that after six years of existence, EcoBicester is still yet to produce any
information on how a cycle network will be integrated into the town despite reducing car journeys being a key goal.
We found the meeting to be constructive and look forward to continuing discussions.
