Despite being earmarked a new 'Garden Town', Bicester is unlikely to see any new road infrastructure before 2020. And large scale infrastrcuture will not arrive before 2025 at the earliest.
The granting of £100m as part of being a 'Garden Town' appears to be a drop in the ocean when you see what is required and considering that our politicians have already earmarked it for existing
projects, not new ones. So lets consider the 'missing links' and the solutions our council are proposing.
Nestling between a 50mph Vendee Drive and a 50mph Skimmingdish Lane exists a Howes Lane. What is currently a popular exit from the town for residents of Shakespeare Drive, Bure Park and
Southwold is due (from 2020) to become very urbanised. Click here to

To the south of the town, our councils are proposing a route that will cross what is currently greenfields linking the A41 near Wendlebury to the current periphery road at Langford Village.
This is currently an outline proposal, unbudgeted for, unplanned and will not appear anytime before 2025. Click here.
